i am fucked

So, my house came back at a $45k appraisal. Good thing I paid $125k.

My mortgage lender told me I'm screwed. Not only did I have to pay $300 to have my refinancing application denied, but now I have to pay $390 for the appraisal that caused the denial. I didn't know that, I thought it was included in the $300 application fee. So now I have to pay $690 just to get screwed. (I don't even have the energy to make a joke about hookers.)

My dreams are screwed, too. I can't move to Boston. Without a lower monthly payment, I can't find a renter. Even if I got a renter for the rates in my neighborhood, I'll still be paying $450+ toward my property in Florida.

I think I might need to look at the summer school in Vermont. I won't get to move. At least not to Boston. At least not now.

Hey - guess what else? Today in my state they passed a bill that says my salary will now be dependent on FCAT scores.

Wow. I feel so loved.

I guess this is punishment for being a highly-qualified public school teacher who pays all her bills on time.

I'm soooooo sorry! This calls for dollar margaritas at Alehouse and big middle finger flip offs to your appraiser, the bank, the real estate market, and anyone who looks funny.

You're still my favorite hooker teacher and wish there was something that we could do for you. :( If we were in Jax we'd rent your townhouse for more money, I promise we would.

That does suck!
I cant refinance cause my debt to income ratio is too high. I cant refinance my car cause the loan company doesnt have a bank in my state. I cant apply for any new loans, but I am determined to be patient and wait till things get simpler so I can simplify.
I feel for ya.
I appreciate you as a teacher too!

I just started reading up on this senate bill that passed and I am absolutely appalled! These politicians are so excited for MORE testing and making the teaching profession more PROFESSIONAL by adding all of this testing and attaching money to it. OMG!

Instead of money going to adding teachers to school districts, update building, add technology to the classrooms, they'll be siphoning money into committees to create these new tests and funding the testing itself. UGH!

I'm double sorry. :(

I know, right? Because educators getting more education is crazy and in no way makes us more professional. You're right - all the money is going to be fueled into the tests. Now I feel like I'm stuck in a shitty state and a shitty career. Like Barack Obama said, it's time for a change but this isn't it!!!

What's the down side to walking away from it? How about an auction? Get creative! You can do it!

I know you must be disappointed. But maybe it's a sign that you're meant to stay right where you are - for now, anyway. I honestly believe things work out the way they are meant to. I'll be praying for you tonight as I pray for a little someone else that is very near and dear to me. Keep making plans and trying to find a way to pursue your next degree - eventually something's gotta give! Love ya!
