faithful followers

Today I saw that - oh geez - the sum of awe has 95 followers! I must admit, that's kind-of freaky. No offense, but I probably only know 5 of you. Yet you're reading about my shitty home appraisal and naked teenage exploits. Grrrreat.

While it's admittably freaky, it's also nice to read your comments. (Unless you're the asshole who wrote "This blog sucks." You can die.) But for the rest of you, I'm curious - how did 95 people find my blog? And what made them want to follow?

So, if you're a follower, please leave me a comment and tell me how you found the awesumness that is my blog and what keeps you coming back for more. I'd say this is for research purposes, but in all honestly, I'm kind-of an attention whore.

LMAO! The magic of the next blog button brought me to your blog. I just started blogging and wanted to see what people are doing on theirs and your blog has a lot of personality and character. It made me stop by and actually read what you had to say. Keep it up!

Just stumbled across your blog by hitting Next Blog.

You're a great writer and I'd just like to comment on one thing.... Don't don't don't go back to school! Just keep writing and doing you're own thing. You don't need all that debt and crazy in your life. I think that you might need to redo your pro/con list.

Undergrad was a blast, but grad school has a different feel. Are you up for that?

I have a graduate degree, and maybe a bit to cynical about it....

Your posts make me laugh a lot, and, I can sometimes relate to them, which makes it even better!

Even if I can't relate, it's fun/interesting to read, because you seem like a fun/interesting person. =)

I just clicked the next button, as I randomly do when I'm trying to find something funny to read. So yours came up and I enjoyed your blog enough that I followed.

It seems that most people, including myself, just happened to stumble across your blog after hitting the 'Next Blog' button at the top of their home page.

Although it might seem random, your blog has just as much chance to get views as any and every other blog that uses Google's system, regardless of the amount of followers or posts that you already have.

Personally, I began following your blog because I found it very well written, and even relative to my own life at times. (I'm still pretty young, but we all share the same problems every so often, right?)

And so I hope that you don't find this whole following thing creepy, but instead rather flattering. You have a good thing going, and people enjoy it.

I didn't know that either
1. I was so popular on the next button
or
2. So many people used the next button

Regardless, I like having you here!

You are the cutest attention-whore ever and obviously you are working it girl! :)

And I agree with the other comments, take it as a huge compliment that people love your writing and want more and more and more of YOU!

P.S. I've been writing emails on a daily basis to CC. I feel very grown-up since I've never written a politician before. This SB6 thing blows. Good luck setting up a "sick out."

Well first of all, I was just browsing through random blogs and stumbled across this one. As I started reading, I caught myself laughing uncontrollably. The only other person that can make me laugh via writing is Chelsea Handler. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that you remind me of Chelsea Handler.

Also, your stories are absolutely hilarious. I just think what you have to say is completely relevant to people's values today about sex and dating. However, I find it ironic that I'm a male reading such a feminine friendly blog. But what matters is that it's very clever and witty.

Wow, such love! It is so nice to read this stuff. I needed it today. My shameless self-promotion has lead to a burst of self-esteem. Ah, my shallow existence.

Like almost everyone else, I found your blog through the Next Blog button. But I started following because you write so well, everything you have to say is transparent and real.

...And I love your stories!

Keep it up!

I too have been led here by the Next Blog button. Okay so that sounds a little creepy... sorry. I have a few friends who use Blogger and I got to skimming one day just to see if anyone out there was saying anything inspiring or just had something honest to say. The first post of yours that I read was your poem about clubs and I sent it to my friend who would very much agree with it. It`s what caught my attention but your honesty brings me back for more. I`m sure that you`ve inspired more than me here and you don`t even know it. I really enjoy your blog and hope it doesn`t creep you out too much that strangers appreciate you.

I just randomly came across your blog today in fact. And I was laughing out loud at your stories. You are a great writer. I started a blog on here so that I could become a better writer. I follow people who I think are inspiring. Your writing style is comical, raw and honest.

Was putting off grading middle school Math papers on a Sunday night. Got bored. Hit the next button, and yours was the first not about a family and their new toddler.

Laughed my ass off reading the dialogue between you and your sister texting one another.

Congrats on the firm ones, stay away from the skid-marks.
